Foamie or Nitro RC Aircraft? Why not do both!

Before I dove in and got my first nitro airplane, which was a great deal by the way, I started with Dollartree foam designs put out by the awesome guys at Flitetest.com.

Josh Bixler and the gang have done much to further this terrific hobby by designing aircraft that are cheap to find components to, and fairly simple to fly.  I say simple to fly...a great model aircraft flying club will help you tremendously as well.  I love the help and camaraderie offered by my local AMA club.

For you beginners, AMA is the Academy of Model Aeronautics and membership with them is required to fly at most legitimate flying clubs.

Terrific designer and all around awesome guy, Josh Bixler of Flitetest.com

A sample video that is sure to get you hooked on Josh's site is below:

The giant duster in the video is a scaled up version of Disney's Dusty Crophopper designed by the Flitetest team.

Makes me want to get out in the sun and put my foamie P-51 Mustang in the air.  Yep, you guessed it...another of their designs.
Check them out and I'll catch you later!
